Quarterback K.J. Costello has announced he will be a graduate transfer at Mississippi State.

Mississippi State got its new head football coach last month in the form of Mike Leach and this month, it appears Leach has found his quarterback.

K.J. Costello, a veteran signal caller that had one of the best seasons in Stanford history back in 2018, announced on Monday that he will be a graduate transfer at MSU in 2020. Costello has just one year of eligibility remaining.

Costello announced his intentions in a statement he posted to social media outlets addressing what he dubbed the “Stanford family.”

“I remember dreaming about playing at Stanford since I was a little kid,” Costello said. “The legacy and tradition was something I always knew I wanted to be a part of. I feel so fortunate to have spent my last four years at the top institution in the world. I decided to attend Stanford because I felt it would drive me to become the best version of myself. It did just that."
