Mississippi State entered Monday night’s exhibition game against Lubbock Christian needing to work out some kinks.

Forward Chloe Bibby is bouncing back from her ACL injury suffered last season. Guard Jordan Danberry is getting back into the flow of things after an unusual offseason in which she was gone from, then returned to MSU.

Youngsters had some growing up to do.

The rust showed early as the Lady Chaparrals held a late second-quarter lead against the Bulldogs, but in the end, Mississippi State came away with a 78-57 victory that MSU head coach Vic Schaefer believes will only help his team in the long run.
