After defeating Batesville 14-1 and Caledonia 6-4 on Thursday, the Starkville 11’s have picked up another pair of victories so far this weekend. They out-slugged Independence 18-14 on Friday night and edged host Greenwood 10-9 on Saturday.

The Starkville 9-year-olds are on a similar path. They won twice on Thursday against Lowndes County 12-9 and Columbus 8-7, then came back to knock off Caledonia 10-5 on Friday and shut out Southaven 10-0 on Saturday.
