Mississippi State fans deserve a pat on the back for the support it gives women’s basketball.
On a day where the top two teams in college football met, which just happened to be only about 90 miles away between teams from the Southeastern Conference, a crowd of over 7,500 attended a women’s basketball game between the Bulldogs and the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
It didn’t going unnoticed.
Southern Miss head coach Joye Lee-McNelis was impressed and spent the first several minutes of her postgame press conference bragging on MSU and the commitment it has made to women’s basketball.
