It’s been two weeks now since Mississippi State got whipped on the road at Auburn.
The Bulldogs have since licked their wounds over a bye week and it’s now time to return to action as MSU (3-2, 1-1) faces Tennessee (1-4, 0-2) on the road at 11 a.m. Saturday.
In State linebacker Erroll Thompson’s mind, today is as good a day as any to completely put the defeat at Auburn in the rearview mirror and begin realizing the potential he believes MSU has.
“(It’s) realizing that we are who we think we are,” Thompson told reporters of the goal in Knoxville. “We haven’t put it on paper all year and this week is a good week.”
