Carter Putt and the Heritage Academy Patriots set out on a mission over the summer.

After getting close to a championship and not finishing last year, it has made the Patriots hungry. They fell to Adams County Christian School 28-10 in 2018’s title outing.

“This summer we just worked real hard,” Putt said “We’ve always made it to the quarterfinals and semifinals. We know we’re trying to get over that hump.”

Putt said when Heritage Academy defeated Pillow Academy 47-13 to make the MAIS 5A championship game, the message the coaches had for them was “get over that hump.”
