It’s one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of Mississippi, but Germantown has been thrown into the fire this season.
The Mavericks started their school and athletics programs back in 2011 in Madison County and head coach Tim Shramek has been there from the very beginning. The school was already a decent size when it was established beginning as a Class 4A school, but it didn’t spend much time there.
Shramek won three games his first year and then eight games in year two before his team was on the move into Class 5A. Germantown established itself well in Class 5A over the last few years. The Mavericks played the last six seasons in the classification with a 10-win season and at least seven wins every year, but this year is going to be a challenge in Class 6A, Region 2.
