It has been a struggle so far this season for the Bayou Academy Colts as far as winning football games, but Starkville Academy head coach Chase Nicholson sees an improving team.

Nicholson has kept an eye on the Colts and hasn’t seen much of a change from week to week and that means only one thing to him.

“A team like that to me knows what they want to do and don’t want to change,” Nicholson said. “They are getting better and better every single day.”

The only win for Bayou Academy (1-6) this year was in week two against Lee Academy 7-0. All of the other outings have been losses, including three in Class 5A-District 1 to Washington School, Heritage Academy and Magnolia Heights.
