NEW ORLEANS – Saturday was a homecoming for Cameron Dantzler and he had all intentions of making his mark on the game during his time there.
Growing up an hour from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Dantzler dreamt of playing inside the home of the Saints. On the first defensive play of the ball game, Dantzler stepped in front of a pass from Louisiana’s Levi Lewis and intercepted it to start what would be a 38-28 MSU win.
The realization of playing inside a place he revered from a young age likely helped, but it’s more likely that this is the Dantzler that fans should get used to seeing the rest of the year.
