Mississippi State women's basketball

Mississippi State guard Jordan Danberry (24) drives against Southern Mississippi last season.

A year ago Jordan Danberry wouldn’t have predicted one more run with Mississippi State in 2019-20, but she’s about to get it.

Following an approval by the NCAA granting Danberry an extra year that was lost when she transferred from Arkansas during her sophomore season, this season is a chance for Danberry to continue to add on to a solid college career, but it’s also a chance for her to bridge the gap between the talented young class and the few veterans on the team.

Most of all, Danberry gets a chance on Saturday in game one of her second senior season against Southern Miss to be among the Bulldog fans again. It might be a bigger treat for the fans than for Danberry as they get a chance to see a player that had made a jump of over 10 points a game from her junior season to last year.
