Mississippi State junior running back Kylin Hill may give fans a reason to watch him closely in 2019.
Hill has made the watch lists for the Doak Walker and Maxwell Awards in the preseason and could be set for a great season for the Bulldogs.
“I think he can have a great year,” MSU senior offensive lineman Darryl Williams said Wednesday at Southeastern Conference Media Days. “We’ve got to make sure as a line that he stays healthy and he stays clean. He can be a top rusher this year. I think he is very capable of doing that.”
Hill rushed for 734 yards on 117 carries and scored four touchdowns for the Bulldogs last season. He missed two games due to a lower-body injury or those numbers could have even been higher.
MSU head coach Joe Moorhead believes Hill would have been a 1,000-yard rusher last year if he had been healthy and has watched Hill take steps to get in better shape for this season.
