Samford outfielder Colton Ledbetter has announced that he will transfer to Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs landed a transfer portal addition last week in the form of Memphis right-handed pitcher Landon Gartman and they went after another non-conference team that they played this season to grab a second player. Samford outfielder Colton Ledbetter announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he would be continuing his career with another group of Bulldogs next season.

Ledbetter had a breakout sophomore season in the So-Con this year earning second-team All-Conference honors. Ledbetter was second on the team with a .318 batting average as he started in all 57 games this year and had a team-high 67 hits, 57 RBI and 16 home runs while tying for the team high with 16 doubles. He showed off his speed on the base paths as well finishing second with 14 steals in 17 attempts.
