Football is here.
The games this weekend might not actually count in the win/loss column and there won’t be a full four quarters of games, but football fans around the state will take whatever they can get to quench their thirst for Friday night lights.
For Starkville, the first taste of the hard hits, grill smoke and the band’s tunes will come at RE Hinze Stadium in Louisville. The Yellow Jackets will be a part of a big weekend at Louisville High that includes seven games in two days of action.
SHS will close the weekend with the final game on Saturday night against Columbus around 7 p.m. and head coach Chris Jones is just hoping to get some kinks worked out while also protecting his players for the real game next Friday at Brandon.
