Quarterback Tommy Stevens warms up before a college football game for Penn State last season.

Mississippi State has added graduate transfer quarterback Tommy Stevens to the 2019 roster as the school received his signed financial aid agreement, head football coach Joe Moorhead announced Friday.

The Starkville Daily News reported last week that Stevens had taken a visit to Starkville and was impressed by what he saw.

Stevens, 6-5, 240, was a high school standout at Decatur Central in Indiana, before enrolling at Penn State, where he spent the last four years. He graduated from Penn State in December 2018 with a degree in telecommunications and will be eligible to play his final season this fall.

At Penn State, Stevens was 24-for-41 passing for 304 yards and four touchdowns, rushed for 506 yards and eight touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns in 23 career games played.
