Mississippi State may have lost several big pieces from its nation’s-best defense of a year ago, but it appears Southeastern Conference media members still think the Bulldogs have plenty of talent on that side of the football.
Three MSU defensive players – Erroll Thompson, Cameron Dantzler and Chauncey Rivers – were all chosen to preseason All-SEC teams on Friday at the conclusion of SEC Media Days. In addition, center Darryl Williams was chosen to the second team offense.
Thompson was a first-team linebacker. Dantzler was picked a second-team cornerback. Rivers was picked as a third-team defensive end.
