SCOOBA – East Mississippi head coach Buddy Stephens has been a nervous wreck this week.
After the Lions were stunned at Hinds Community College last week, the coach knew that there was absolutely no room for error the rest of the way and especially not on Thursday night against Pearl River. EMCC lost the first three games of the season in 2010 and Stephens had no intentions of going down the same road.
So the Lions came out on Thursday and took care of business against the Wildcats. Utilizing three-straight touchdowns on offensive possessions in the second half, EMCC took a close game at the half and produced a blowout as they won 49-15 to get to 1-1 for the young season.
