Mississippi State softball

Mississippi State's Mia Davidson takes her lead off second base during an earlier game this season.

Mia Davidson has spent two seasons on Mississippi State’s campus but made an impact that will last a lifetime.

By the time she leaves Starkville, she will be among some of the greatest players that’s ever worn the Maroon and White.

When talking to Davidson, however, you encounter a team-first athlete who cares about just one stat – the win.

Davidson started her Bulldog career with a school record 19 home runs as a freshman. She was the Southeastern Conference Softball Freshman of the Year, a National Freshman of the Year Finalist and a first-team All-SEC member.

For more on Davidson's story, see Tuesday's Starkville Daily News.
