The football pads will have to stay in the Mississippi State locker room at the Leo Seal Complex a little bit longer for Brad Cumbest.
That’s because the freshman outfielder of the Bulldogs has a little more business to attend to in baseball.
Cumbest is part of another MSU run to Omaha, Nebraska, and the College World Series and he is soaking up every minute of it.
When the Bulldogs defeated Stanford 8-1 last Sunday to clinch a spot in Omaha, Cumbest was celebrating at the bottom of the dog pile.
“It didn’t feel like it was happening,” Cumbest said. “I had to wake up the next day and actually let it hit me. I had adrenalin all night.”
