Mississippi State football

Mississippi State tight end Powers Warren checks out some shoes as he and the rest of the Bulldogs get ready to hit the practice field for the first time.

Much of the talk is over.

Many of the watch lists have been released. It’s finally once again time to put on the helmets and pads and just play football.

Mississippi State opens up its football practice Friday as the Bulldogs prepare for the 2019 season. MSU will go through four weeks of training camp leading up to its August 31 season opener against Louisiana in the Superdome in New Orleans.

The coming days give the Bulldogs the chance to jell as a team, as well as figure out exactly who can be counted on in certain spots.
