Kaiden Brantley

Kaiden Brantley of Starkville will compete in a regional of the Drive, Chip and Putt competition on Sunday. If Brantley wins, he’ll move on to the National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Here, Brantley is pictured earlier this month after he qualified for this Sunday’s regional.

Kaiden Brantley is on a mission.

The 10-year-old Starkville resident is sitting on the doorstep of the National Finals of the Drive, Chip and Putt competition put on each year by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and the PGA of America. All that stands in Brantley’s way of getting to the finals is a competition this Sunday.

Brantley has been close before. Just last year, he got to this point and came up just short of the finals. He’s got finishing the job in mind this go-around.
