A Mississippi School for Math and Science student from Starkville has been named to the 55th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars.
On Tuesday, 17-year-old MSMS senior Hamilton Wan was announced as one of 161 high school seniors from across the country to receive the honor. On June 23, Wan will travel to Washington D.C. to be recognized along with the other scholars.
In the fall, Wan will begin studies in applied Mathematics at Yale University.
