Police say a local church was the victim of a burglary and vandalism Thursday night.
The Starkville Police Department posted pictures to social media on Friday showing the damage inside the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection at 105 North Montgomery Street.
Church leadership says due to the damage caused, the SPD is investigating the incident as a hate crime.
