Since the Mississippi State baseball team brought home the school’s first national championship this summer, the entire community has been able to capitalize off their success. No one knows this better than Starkville Daily News, with over 15,000 prints of our paper from July 1 sold and distributed, over 6,500 posters of the front page sold, and even 5,000 magazines ordered and nearly half sold.
Orders for this memorabilia keep coming in, and the entire staff at SDN could not be more grateful. Our office hours are only Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the SDN staff has come to the conclusion this does not help some out-of-towners who want to pick up their mementos over the weekend.
This Saturday, September 25, the SDN office will be open for two hours before the home game against LSU.
“Our business manager, Kim Jones, and our editor, Jessica Lindsey, will be at the office from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to help State fans purchase and pick up their championship newspapers, posters, and magazines,” General Manager Ronald Oswalt said.
