The Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office welcomed its first four-legged deputy in more than two decades on Thursday, April 9.
Cash, a two-and-a-half-year-old black Labrador retriever was sworn in, and now joins his handler, Sgt. Brandon Griggs, in patrolling the county. The team joined the force following a rigorous five-month training process. Cash will serve primarily as a detection K9, enhancing the OCSO's drug recognition capabilities.
