An Oktibbeha County teenager is facing a felony charge of child molestation after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies on Friday.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jon Davis said 18-year-old Jamarcus Tucker was arrested on the single felony count after investigators received a report of the incident involving a minor on May 2.
While few details could be given due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the victim’s juvenile status, Davis said the incident occurred in the area of Williams Road.
Tucker has already had a preliminary hearing in Oktibbeha County Justice Court and his bond was set at $10,000.
He remains in the Oktibbeha County Jail.
If found guilty of the felony charge, Tucker could face up to 20 years in prison, according to Mississippi Code § 97-5-35
