Starkville Main Street Association Board Chair Alaina Prentice told the Starkville Daily News on Wednesday the project will consists of the planters on Main Street, the bridge on University Drive and the wall on North Jackson Street at the former Cadence Bank parking lot.

MMSA designated communities, including Starkville, were able to apply for individual funds of up to $1,000 with a required matching investment for shovel-ready brick and mortar projects, as well as consulting services that may be used to carry out a designated community’s program of work.
