An area man has been arrested on a sexual battery charge following an incident in Oktibbeha County.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., on Friday, March 8, Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a reported sexual battery at a residence on Highway 12 West in Bradley.
The suspect, 41-year-old Tyrone Cork fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.
Cork turned himself in at approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday. He was arrested and transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail, where he had his initial appearance. Cork was released the same day on a $10,000 bond.
The victim was transported by ambulance to OCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.
