One person of interest remains in custody with no formal charges announced after Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the body of a Starkville woman in a partially burned trailer Wednesday.
Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt told the Starkville Daily News on Friday that he had yet to receive the official autopsy results on the body of 60-year-old Joyce Bostick from the state medical examiner’s office in Jackson.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office Captain of Operations Brett Watson said a person of interest in the investigation remained in custody Friday for an unrelated case, with bond set at $50,000.
No formal charges have been announced in connection to Bostick’s death.
