On Wednesday, Laquavis Collier was ordered to spend the next ten years behind bars for robbing the Renasant Bank on September 21, 2021.

Collier demanded money after spending a brief time in the bank and then fled on foot with a bag of cash.

Officers of the Starkville Police Department set up a perimeter around the bank and detained Collier at the intersection of Gillespie and Spring streets. His capture was a short time later.

He was sentenced for the hold-up in Oktibbeha County Circuit Court.
