Camgian awarded DARPA SBIR Phase 2 project

Camgian Microsystems Corp., provider of advanced electronic systems and semiconductor technologies, recently announced it has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research Phase 2 project by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
“Camgian Microsystems is committed to providing the warfighter with advanced Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities anywhere and at any time,” said George Ansel, Camgian program manager. “Our approach is to drive down the size, weight, power and cost (SWAPC) of these systems by combining advanced technologies in the areas of low-power microelectronics, sensing and wireless communications to provide our customers with solutions for persistently monitoring remote assets and environments.”
This SBIR project will develop a revolutionary, ultra low power System-on-a-Chip (SoC) technology that will enable “>10x” improvements in size and endurance over current generation low power microsystems such as unattended ground sensors, micro-UAVs, micro satellites, body worn electronics, etc.
This will be achieved through the integration of advanced energy efficient circuit designs that enable the power consumption of the chip to be dynamically matched to the performance needs of the system.
