Choctaw County Chargers see more transition

A move up from Class 2A to 3A was quite the transition for Choctaw County High School two years ago.
The Chargers and head coach Adam Dillinger are used to transition, though. Formerly Ackerman High, they’ve been through the changes over the past few years, following the consolidation with Weir High, and this year will be no different.

Stuedeman keeps Bulldogs headed in right direction

Vann Stuedeman continues to guide Mississippi State in the right direction.
She just finished her fourth season as the head coach of the Bulldogs, and even though it was supposed to be a "rebuilding year," she led her team to a fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Moncrief Park pool set to open

The Starkville Park and Recreation Department has a fun and safe way to cool off as the temperatures continue to rise this summer.
The swimming pool at Moncrief Park opens on Monday and SPRD director Herman Peters encourages the public to take advantage of the opportunity.
Even though there is a slight price increase to participate, Peters said the pool should be as popular as ever.
