Lady Jackets drop golf match

The West Point Lady Green Wave shot a 98 and defeated the Starkville Lady Yellowjackets Thursday afternoon at the Mississippi State Golf Course.

Starkville, which shot 120 as a team, was led by Savannah Hobart with a 55, while Kristen Lacy carded a 65.

"In the past couple of years, we've only had three girls and that's what you need to make a team," SHS golf coach Sam Bryant said. "We've got five this year and we've got some young ones that hopefully will step up and build a program up with."
