Mr. Bobby Thomas Lindsey, 63, of Artesia, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jammie Turner officiating.
Interment will immediately at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Artesia.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Lindsey was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Starkville to the late George and Hulda Munts Lindsey. He was an honor graduate of Starkville High School and received his degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University in 1971. Beginning in 1972, he held various distinguished positions with Gulf States Manufacturers in Starkville. His current title was manager of special projects. An avid bulldog fan, he was a member of the MSU Alumni Association, Bulldog, Quarterback and Dugout Clubs.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann.
He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Virginia “Bitty” Lindsey of Artesia; son, Foster Lindsey of New Hope; and granddaughters, Alexa Lindsey of Saltillo, and Devin Grace Lindsey of New Hope.
Pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Roger Shivers, Ronnie Hartness, Phil Hartness, Floyd Patterson and Buddy Laird.
