Mary Telitha (Yeatman) Turner, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Eastgate Village Healthcare Center in Muskogee, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Krews Yeatman and Annie (Huffman) Yeatman; and her husband, George D. Turner Sr.
She is survived by her children, Lenard L. Parker of Mobile, Ala., George D.Turner, Jr. (Linda) of Baton Rouge, La., and Barbara V. Mullican (Leon) of Muskogee, Okla.; grandchildren, George D. Turner, III (Molly), Ashley M. Cox (Joe), Ryan Scott Turner (Kelli), Darla L. Sherbourne (Bob) and Angela D. Mullican; and great grandchildren, Andrew McClure, Daniel McClure, Megan Turner, Macie Turner, Madison Cox, Haley Sherbourne and Alyssa Sherbourne; other survivors include nieces and nephews of which one was most special and like a brother to her, James David Yeatman of Louisville.
Visitation is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with the graveside service following at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. David Frederick will conduct the service.
The family of Mary Turner would like to express great appreciation to the staff of Eastgate Village and Hometown Hospice in Muskogee, Okla. Her fondness for them was likened to her second family.
