On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Greater Starkville Development Partnership is giving shoppers the opportunity for a first look at the 39th Annual Holiday Bazaar with its very first preview party.
Over 90 vendors will be on hand for this year’s holiday bazaar, and Jennifer Gregory, GSDP vice president of tourism, said this is an excellent chance to get the first look at all the vendors have to offer and get shopping done early while beating the crowds.
“The $15 ticket price includes getting to view and buy the merchandise early, a hot chocolate bar and a desert reception,” Gregory said. “It’s going be a great night to come out with friends and family, enjoy holiday treats and get some shopping done at the same time.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the GSDP office, located at 200 E. Main St., during normal business hours. Tickets will be available up until the day of the event. To guarantee your spot, Gregory said it’s best to buy tickets in advance, although any tickets still available will be for sale at the door the night of the event.
Gregory said the hot chocolate bar will include sparkling cider or a cup of make-your-own gourmet hot chocolate, with a tempting selection of fun toppings.
“We’re also planning a mini dessert bar with cheesecake pops, chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks and strawberry shortcake cups,” Gregory said. “You can even roast your own marshmallows at our s’more station.”
Gregory said the holiday atmosphere will be brought to life with live Christmas music for shoppers to enjoy.
“If anyone is having trouble finding their Christmas spirt, then they definitely need to be at this event,” Gregory said. “It is a can’t-miss night of exclusive shopping and sweet treats on the eve of the Holiday Bazaar opening day. What better way to get ready for the holidays?”
