Indians drop homecoming tilt to Houston Hilltoppers

ACKERMAN – On the night Ackerman celebrated its homecoming festivities, the Houston Hilltoppers ensured the Indians didn't get the opportunity to enjoy a win as well.
After Ackerman's K.J. Woods scored on the Indians' first possession of the contest, Houston ripped off 32 unanswered points, downing the Indians 32-7 on Friday.
"We gave up big plays," said "Ackerman head coach Adam Dillinger. "We'd play good in spots, then we'd give up a big play.
"Offensively, we moved the ball well at times, then penalties of something would happen and we'd hurt ourselves. It was no one thing, no one unit, we just didn't play the ballgame we needed to play."
Houston improved to 3-1 with the win.
The defeat dropped Ackerman to 2-2.
Ackerman will attempt to bounce back from Friday's loss next week as the Indians host Bruce.
In the meanwhile, Dillinger knows what his team has to do.
"Right now, it's about us getting better," said Dillinger. "(Bruce) is going to be a very good ball team. We're going to have to improve. We've got to just try and be a better team next week."
