Ann, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Bridges, was born September 7, 1933 in Minden, Louisiana. Shortly after graduating from Minden High School, she married James (Jim) Richard Jensen, the love of her life and husband of 59 years.
Ann’s passions were her family, her faith, and her work as a realtor. The eldest of six siblings, she raised, loved and cared for her brothers and sisters throughout her life. As a mother, she set an example for her three daughters of how to live a life of fun, laughter, and find joy in all things. Through her life, she inspired others to practice the values of acceptance, open-mindedness, and seeing goodness in all people.
She was a long-time member and servant of St. Peter’s by-the-Lake Episcopal Church in Brandon. Although she was a small person, she had big ideas and could make things happen.
Among her accomplishments at St. Peter’s were the addition of the columbarium and the memorial garden. An energetic and inspirational member of the church, she provided joy to the congregation through her ministries which included social activities such as line dancing, sending cards for important occasions, and inviting others to share her faith.
Ann’s passion for her work led her to be named Realtor of the Year in Mississippi and receive many other honors throughout her career. One of her greatest achievements was co-founding the Women’s Council of Realtors, where she recently received a standing ovation for her work as a pioneer in the field.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Jensen, her loyal Schnauzer, Molly Bea, her children, and her grandchildren: Douglas and Letitia (Leigh) Jensen Crawford and their daughter Claire; Matthew and Dianna Jensen Rooney and their sons Austin and Lucas; and Johnny and Dana Lemly, their daughter Morgan, and their son Brooks, his wife Amy, and their children Matthew and Elyse.
She is also survived by her sisters Lynn McCoy and Kay Murphy and her brother Jerry Bridges.
She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Wayne and Robert Bridges.
