OLIVE BRANCH — Steve Croft, 92, of Longview, passed away on June 6, 2011. He proudly served in the 840th Engineering Unit in Europe during World War II. He lived most of his life in the Collierville/Barton area where he woned a Ford tractor dealership for many years. He was a dairy farmer, an avid fisherman and a skilled wood craftsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Muggis Croft of Longview; his daughter, Brenda Croft; and siblings, Joe Croft, J.V. "Pete" Croft, W.W. "Red" Croft, Fannie Sue Glenn and Morris Croft.
He leaves his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Ray Croft; two daughters, Cherri Croft Lightsey, and her husband Mike, and May Croft Loftin; three grandchildren, Rachael Loftin Burnett and her husband Paul, Steven Loftin and Caroline Loftin.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
