Dorothy Edwards Holley, 72, passed away on April 9, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant. She worked for Dr. Johnston, an architect in Starkville for many years, also her last job before retirement was with the Mississippi State University Home Economics Extension Department. After retirement, her main focus was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Holley a sister, Hughdell Stokes sister-in-law, Linda Achord.
Mrs. Holley is survived by her daughter, Dana Holley Collier (Donny) of West Point; sisters, Juanita Brewer of Mountain Home, Ark., Peggy Boone of Dallas, Texas and Roberta Mays of Aberdeen; brother, Clorus Edwards (Joyce) of Vicksburg; step-mother, Christine Edwards; mother-in-law, Lucille Holley Garner; brother-in-law, Malcohm Holley of Sommerville, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Kay Atkinson from Bowling Green, Ky.; grandchildren, Don Collier (Johanna), Jessica Collier (Robert), Darrell Collier and Rebecca Collier; and great grandchildren, Anna Collier, Joseph Collier, Marilyn Collier, Jacob Collier and Saralayne Whitehead; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
