MIDFIELD, Ala. — Betty Joyce Myers, age 74, of Pleasant Grove died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Baptist Princeton Hospital.
She was a Bellsouth retiree and member of the CWA and the Telephone Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mattie Threadgill and brothers, Clifton, Jimmy and Benny Threadgill.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Myers; two sons, Charles "Howard" and wife Louise, and Scott Myers; one brother, Jerry Threadgill of Eupora, Miss.; two sisters, Dot Threadgill and Sandy Reece, both of Corbin, Ky.; and grandchildren, Blake, Brittany and Christian.
Graveside services will be today at 3 p.m. at Valhalla Cemetery with Rev. Bob Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
