Jean Allen Lee, of Woodstock, Ga., born August 3, 1924, passed away March 19, 2011 surrounded, in love, by her children.
Formerly of College Park, Ga., Greensboro, N.C., born and raised in Amory, where her heart always remained. Jean was a beautiful, loving, sweet, “gentile” southern lady who in her faith, loved her Lord and all that she could learn and share of Him. She enjoyed needle work, sewing, reading and precious visits with her families.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Oma Jaudon and Joseph C. Allen, Sr., adoring husband, Paul Edmon Lee and beloved brother, “Joe”C. Allen, both from Amory.
She is survived by her children James Edmon “Jim” Lee (Sukochi) of Ellijay, Ga. and Paul Michael “Mickey” Lee (Dana) of Roswell, Ga., grandchildren Erin Elizabeth Frink (Adam) and Bobby James Lee, sister Sara Crow of Starkville, sister-in-law, Claydeen Allen of Amory, and many loved nieces and nephews.
A private gathering will be held by her immediate family followed by a Celebration of Life, in Amory, in the near future.
