Employer roundtable discussion held Tuesday

The next Employer Roundtable Sessions for the Christian Women’s Job Corps of the Golden Triangle, will be held on Feb. 22 at 12:45 p.m., The location is 207 Lafayette Street, in the Yellow Building across from First Baptist Church, Starkville. Tuesday’s session was set up in a panelist format. Employers introduced themselves and then the floor was open to participants to ask questions on topics related to the job application, interviewing process, work environment, job responsibilities and expectations, the profile of a quality employee, job training opportunities, how employees are selected for advancement, handling roadblocks such as felony convictions, prison records, etc. There are 33 women currently participating in the class.
