WEST POINT — The graveside service for Shirley Lynn Pollan will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery near Eupora with burial following.
Stanley Blaylock will officiate. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. at the cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
Shirley Lynn Pollan, 58, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 after an extended illness in West Point. Born Shirley Lynn Gatlin on Nov. 24, 1952 in Eupora to the late Adney Sibley and Thurman Gatlin.
Her grandparents, Wiley and Iva Sibley of Eupora, also predeceased her.
Shirley Pollan was a bank teller, working for Renasant, People’s Place and Clay County Bank & Trust Co. for 32 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Eupora.
Survivors include one son, Chris (Trina) Pollan of Starkville; three grandsons, Nathan, Andrew, and Jacob Pollan; aunts and uncles, Laveda and James Camp, Nelda and Gerald Oswalt all of West Point, as well as various other relatives living outside of West Point.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends, Rita Mattix, Dorothy Wardlaw, her fellow staff and especially all her customers from Renasant Bank over her 32-year career.
