West Oktibbeha County Elementary sixth grader Lynnzie Dean is one of the most polite students one could meet.
In addition, Lynnzie is a straight-A student and compassionate girl, and that is why she has been selected as this week’s academic all-star.
“Lynnzie is an asset,” teacher Kristy Moore said. “She is always striving to do her best. Lynnzie excels at everything she does.”
Lynnzie is in her school’s gifted program, and names math as her favorite subject.
“What I like about school is that I get to learn about my favorite subject, and I get to see my friends,” she explained. “My favorite subject is math because I am very good with numbers.”
“Just the other day, she saw that her classmate was having trouble with a math problem, and she stepped in to help,” Moore recalled. “Lynnzie is just an overall good person, student and friend.”
Lynnzie is a cheerleader for her school and is a member of the drill team for her church, Peter’s Rock Temple Church of God in Christ. She also holds her school’s highest GPA and has the school’s highest accelerated reading points.
As for the future, Lynnzie plans to attend Mississippi State University where she hopes to pursue a career in accounting. She also has dreams of going into the air force as she enjoys studying planes.
Lynnzie is the daughter of Lynn Harris and Shawn Dean.
