Success was on the side of the Starkville Academy Volunteers Friday night.
In what some might not have called the prettiest game, the Volunteers defeated Washington School 43-31.
“I just thought it was ugly,” Starkville Academy coach Mark Alexander said. “It got to be an ugly game, a Helter Skelter game, and that sort of played a part in it.”
Raheim Robinson and O’Shea Kemp teamed up to give Starkville Academy a quick 4-0 lead. Washington tried to play catch up, but its efforts were prevented by once again none other than Robinson and Kemp who teamed up making it 9-2.
