Things will change drastically for Gabe Jackson when Mississippi State walks off the field at Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis, Tenn., after the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
The senior offensive lineman will never again wear the maroon and white, rather he will be suiting up for a National Football League team.
The Liberty native is expected to be taken in the first or second round in the National Football League's spring draft, but that will have to wait until then.
"I still have another game left," Jackson said.
That game is against Conference USA champion Rice (10-3) in the Liberty Bowl on Jan. 31. Jackson will be making his 52nd career start, the most among active players.
