TUPELO – Slow starts in both the first and second half have been a thorn in the side of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
MSU started fast Friday night, but fizzled and came out of the locker room after halftime sluggish.
The Bulldogs overcame that lull in play and picked things up midway through the second half. They overcame a 33-32 deficit at halftime and beat the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana 68-62 inside the BancorpSouth Arena.
