Mississippi State's women basketball team erased all doubt within the first 4 minutes of Saturday night's ballgame.
The Bulldogs opened the game on an 11-0 run and never looked back as they knocked off the Alabama State Lady Hornets 75-49 inside Humphrey Coliseum.
With the win, MSU improved to 9-1 for the season, the best start for the women's team since the 2008-09 campaign.
"Our schedule is fixing to get harder," State head coach Vic Schaefer said. "We're certainly glad to be 9-1."
It was the sixth game in 12 days for the Bulldogs. They will be off until next Saturday when they play host to in-state foe Southern Miss. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
