The last two games have shown how good Starkville can be on offense.
The Yellowjackets have scored a combined 69 points in their last two games, and quarterback Princeton Jones has been a big part.
The long-time wide receiver had to move under center this fall after the graduation of Gabe Myles and the departure of Caleb Wilson.
Jones struggled early on, but has found himself. He did it at a good time as SHS opened up Class 6A, Region 2 play 1-0. The Yellowjackets are 3-2 overall and have won their last two games.
The defense has also played well as of late. After giving up 55 points to West Point, the SHS has surrendered just 27 points in the last two games.
