Kimmy Gardiner may be young and inexperienced, but that hasn't stopped her from making a huge impact at Mississippi State.
The Bulldog freshman opposite hitter recorded her fifth-straight double-double Friday afternoon as MSU went on to a 3-0 sweep of Niagara in the first match of the Bulldog Invitational at the Newell-Grissom Building.
"I don't think she lets being young and inexperienced be an excuse for her," State coach Jenny Hazelwood said. "She's super competitive in everything we do. In drills, she wants to be great. When we're running sprints, she is checking to see if she's up with the people at the front."
